Team Building Challenge 2018!
Last week we closed the studio for Friday afternoon to get everyone together for a team building challenge! Prepared by our Head of Creative Nichola Ward, the challenge involved designing and building a vehicle which could transport one person on a lap of the building – without any part of the body touching the floor! Split into three teams, each had very limited materials to create their designs.
The teams stretched the boundaries of innovation (and sometimes the rules!) to create three spectacular vehicular inventions. The race had all the makings of a budget-friendly F1 with added lightning strikes and tassels, but in the end, the winning position was claimed by Workflow Manager John Butler, leading the ‘Studio-Go-Go!’ team to victory.
Skills were shared across the team and everyone played their part – from sanding beautifully spherical wheels, designing graphics a step beyond ‘go faster stripes’ and spray painting decoration - Directors Jim and Richard even had sweeping brushes in hand at the end!
Well done to everyone and here’s to the annual Studio Soapbox Race!
