On Saturday 19th March, we celebrated our 125th anniversary at The Arches, Dean Clough with a party for the entire The Creative Core team. With retro pop singer Ruby Macintosh providing our live sound track for the evening, everyone had a wonderful night!
With good food, a great venue and lovely celebratory cupcakes (of course!) the whole team enjoyed dancing, sharing stories of The Creative Core's history and discussing the exciting things to come in the future.
What was quite amazing to learn, was that George Leach - Arthur Leach's father, the founder of our company - used to work at Dean Clough, the very same mill complex we were holding our celebratory event. Working at the mills allowed George to save enough money to give to his son in order to start Leach, way back back in 1891. A intriguing coincidence and lovely story!
With a young, dedicated team, it was also interesting to realise that hopefully many of the staff will still be working for The Creative Core as we celebrate our 150th anniversary! It may be 25 years away, but with 125 years under our belt already, we're pretty sure we're going to get there!
With that, we'll raise our glasses to our fabulous team, and of course our customers for their continued support. We couldn't do it without you. Cheers!
