2017 Highlights - our review of an incredible 12 months!
With the end of 2017 fast approaching, we look back on what has been another exciting year for the The Creative Core team. Here is just a selection of our highlights:
1. Incredible Projects
Throughout the year we’ve worked on some amazing projects, from ingenious Victorian engineering at London’s Tower Bridge, to wild, dramatic landscapes of the North York Moors and exploring community heritage from Newton Abbot in Devon to Newry & Mourne in Northern Ireland.
2. A Growing Team
As our portfolio has grown we’ve added new talent to the Studio team – welcoming new designers John, Marie and Barry, in addition to our Education & Interpretation Co-ordinator, Adam.
3. Jet setting!
Our journey has also seen us exhibit around the world! From Museum Next in Rotterdam, to Museums Association in Manchester where it was great to see current clients, share our passion for the heritage industry, meet new people and learn about the latest thoughts within the sector.
4. Project success!
Heritage Lottery Funding (HLF) is never too far away from our thoughts, or work and we’re proud to have successfully supported two major HLF bids for Derby Silk Mill and Thackray Medical Museum!
In addition, we’ve seen the success of completed projects such as Hadrian’s Cavalry, Vikings: Rediscover the Legend, Shropshire Mines landscape interpretation and Scarborough Seaside – to name a few.
5. Looking forward…
2017 has been such an incredible year, but with projects such as Bolton’s Egypt at Bolton Museum set to complete and the next phase of Derby Silk Mill just starting….2018 is set to be even bigger and better!
