The Creative Core were appointed to work alongside Doncaster Museums to design a series of exhibitions as part of the first World War centenary project Doncaster 1914-18.
One of the major exhibitions in the project is centred around the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry (KOYLI) and is displayed in the Corunna Room of the Doncaster Museum. Changing on an annual basis, The Creative Core designed an infrastructure that could be updated quickly and cost effectively to tell visitors about events specific to the 100 year anniversary. The 2016 exhibition focuses the stories of change and heavy losses suffered by KOYLI during 1916.
The wider Doncaster 1914–18 project encourages the people of Doncaster to uncover and share their own First World War stories. Other venues featuring exhibitions as part of the project include Cusworth Hall and South Yorkshire Air Museum.
