Apsley House

As part of English Heritage’s Waterloo 200 project, marking the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo, The Creative Core designed a range of interpretation at Aspley House, the Duke of Wellington’s London home.

In this exquisite and grand interior, the interpretive design needed to be sympathetic and subtle. The aim of the interpretation  was to not only  give visitors more information about the rooms but to inhabit them – to reflect upon the use of the rooms and the people who lived, worked and played there.

This was achieved with low key interpretative ‘furniture’ within key rooms, graphic panels and beautiful room books highlighting key paintings and objects.
